How many guests does the venue hold?
Inside, the venue capacity is about 150-200 depending on the type of event and table layout. Our venue is all on one level so everyone feels included!

How much money will I need on the day I reserve the venue and is it refundable?

A 300.00 booking fee (for each day rented) saves your date with the balance paid out in payments.  In the wedding industry, DJ's, caterers, venues and photographers packages are traditionally non-refundable and require a signed contract to book the date so take your time with this big decision. 

How many tables come with package ?

15 round 60" and 2 rectangular 8' x 30" and 29' high .

Can we bring our own tablecloths?

Sure! Most brides today, prefer a specific color other than white or ivory. We don't provide tablecloths because our facility simply doesn't have the capabilities to provide the enormous color requests that brides are requesting. We have a relationship with an outside vendor who can provide colors, stripes and various patterns as well as textures that are so trendy today.

Is there a backup plan for rain?
In case of rain, we offer a gorgeous pavilion as a backup plan. Check out the awesome pictures on the website!

Is the venue child friendly? What facilities are available for entertaining children?
Yes, although we do not offer any child care during the events. Most couples provide entertainment or a sitter during the event or choose to have an adults only wedding which is popular.

Do you offer a decorating service?

We could never duplicate the vision you have in mind for your event. We know you have the exact image that you're going for and we may not get it just right. Most "day of" coordinators are happy to do the decorating for you as she is already a part of the planning process and knows the look you're going for.

Can the venue accommodate a DJ or live band? Are there any restrictions?
Yes! We welcome DJ’s and live bands and provide dedicated outlets for their equipment.

Do you have a sound system with speakers, or will that need to be rented? 
We offer a sound system for ambient music but, you are welcome to outsource equipment for music.

Do you have microphones for speeches?
We do not offer microphones as everyone's needs are different but, our equipment has outlets for "wired" mics.

Can I hook an iPod or laptop up to your sound system?
Absolutely! Customize your event by providing your music favorites.

Is there a required/preferred vendor list to stick to? Can we use other vendors?
We are very flexible here at Greystone Mill. You are welcome to bring in the caterers of your choice or self cater and serve family favorites. 

Are linens plates, silverware, and glassware provided? 
We are considered a DIY venue. These items are readily available through your caterer. 

Is there an option for a dinner the night before or a brunch the day after?
Absolutely! We offer the facility for other events before and after the wedding. It's very common to rent 2 days. One day can be used to decorate and rehearse and the other for your wedding.

Can we get early access to the space to decorate/set up?
You can start as early as 8:00 am the day of the event. If you need early access, let us know. For a minimal charge, you can start decorating early.

Can we use candles?

No, sorry but, you can use flameless candles that operate on a small battery that lasts for hours and never need to be relit. Open flames of any kind are not allowed including heaters, grills, fireworks, sparklers etc.

Are there any suites or private rooms available to get ready?
Yes, Greystone Mill offers multiple dressing rooms. 

Can the wedding party get ready at the venue?
Yes! There’s plenty of room for everyone!

We want a winter wedding. Can we use heaters in the barn. 

Heaters are not allowed in the barn/pavilion. Please do not book the venue in anticipation of setting up any type of heaters. The pavilion is a barn like structure with a wooden floor. The pavilion, water wheel and other amenities are "weather permitting". 

How soon do I need to book?

Our dates book on a first come first serve basis so if you tour the venue and fall in asap! The best venues book first.

Do you have wifi?

No, for security/liability reasons, we do not offer wifi. Today, most everyone has internet on their smart phones. Reputable DJ's have an extensive library of music but, also carry a hotspot as a backup.

Are you easy to find? 
Absolutely! We are located close to town and close to amenities.

Do you have places for us to take wedding pictures?
Check out our website. You'll be able to view all of the amazing photo opportunities. We have numerous photo props as well as landscaping and backgrounds to capture those special moments.

What is a security deposit and is it refundable?

Every venue charges a damage deposit or a fee to cover potential damages and incidentals. The fee is paid to the venue to use for damages from you, your vendors, guests and their children. Anything left over will be refunded to you. The fee can be 100% refundable providing there are no damages, time overages and incurred expenses.

Is there a caterer's kitchen?

Sure, most of our events are weddings and so catering is the most popular option. We have a caterer's prep kitchen that your caterer is welcome to use. 

Is there just one ceremony space?

Actually, no. There are multiple indoor and outdoor ceremony areas for you to choose from. Schedule a tour to come check us out!
