Just In Time For Halloween

Laugh Out Loud Wedding Superstitions!

Through the years, we all have heard some pretty interesting wedding day superstitions. We’ve noted a few of our favorites that are just plain silly! Check them out in this months post:

"Wedding Day Superstitions That’ll Make You LOL!"

Pre-Ceremony Peeking Seeing the bride before the wedding ceremony was at one time considered bad luck. Todays bride has debunked this myth as we see more and more brides incorporating a "first look" into their photography session.

Rain On Your Wedding Day This one seems to be a tossup. Some say rain on your wedding day is bad luck, some say its good luck. We say hey, you’re getting MARRIED! No bad luck there! Let it rain like your love and celebrate!

Getting Married During An Eclipse Marriage, new business, end of relationship, personal changes and other important events should be avoided during an Eclipse according to ancient astrologers. Thoughts on this one anybody?

Itsy Bitsy Spider Crawled Up The Wedding Dress! It’s been said that finding a spider on your dress is good luck. Where does this stuff come from?

Drop The Wedding Rings Dropping the Wedding Ring during the ceremony shakes out the evil spirits. This myth has been associated with wedding ring for many years is if the wedding ring is dropped by either the bride or groom on their wedding day, then it is thought to shake and release evil and negative spirits.

Who Throws A Shoe? This tradition actually started during the Tudor period in England. As the bride and groom left in their carriage, wedding guests would throw their shoes at them because it was considered good luck if you hit the vehicle. Today that would be considered a lawsuit, so we tie them to the car instead. And since walking home from a wedding with only one shoe is no fun, Americans started using aluminum cans instead.

No matter what the superstition is,how can such a beautiful day ever be something other than what it really is. Two hearts coming together on this special day. Congratulations beautiful couple!
